Addressing the causes and symptoms of workplace stress
 
The 2010 IRS stress management survey published by XpertHR, 79% of employers have taken or are taking steps to reduce work-related stress. Employee assistance programmes are, according to an article in Personnel Today, a popular weapon in the fight against this epidemic. Eugene Farrell, chairman of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, who's quoted in the article, cautions employers, though, that it's important to select an EAP provider on a range of factors rather than selecting the cheapest option.
