EUGENE FARRELL ELECTED SECRETARY OF EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE EUROPEAN FORUM

Eugene Farrell, Chairman of the UK EAPA, has been elected secretary of the Employee Assistance European Forum – a non-profit organisation for individuals and organisations interested in the development of employee assistance and work life services in Europe, including employee assistance programmes. The EAEF was formed in September 2002 to become the voice for EA professionals in Europe. Participation in the organisation has grown and now involves over 60 EA professionals drawn from 23 countries. "I am grateful for this opporutnity to be of service to the forum at such a challenging time, when employers throughout Europe are struggling to safeguard employees’ health and wellbeing. Employee assistance professionals from the UK have much to learn from their European counterparts – and vice versa – and I am confident the EAEF will continue to play an important role in advancing the profession of employee assistance," says Eugene.
