Study says EAPs lead to healthier, more productive workplaces
Dated: 16/08/2011
A Canadian study by Morneau Shepell says that intervention in mental health through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) translates into improved employee mental health and higher productivity, as well as a 25% reduction in costs due to lost productivity.
The study, 'EAP Improves Health Status and Productivity, and Demonstrates a Positive ROI' is based on information gathered from 53,224 client cases that opened and closed during 2010. The data was collected through a survey, and involved responses from both employees and dependents covered by the EAP.
