UK EAPA Branch Meeting (December 2015): Vulnerability, Debt and the FCA
The UK EAPA will welcome Jane Clack, Senior Debt Advice Consultant for Payplan and a Member of the Institute of Money Advisors as guest speaker at the December 2015 Branch Meeting which takes place on Thursday 10 December 2015. Payplan is an Associate Member of EAPA UK and provide ‘free to consumer’ debt advice to more than 100,000 clients each year.
Jane will explore the debate of delivering best client outcomes in debt advice and consider the challenges of delivering the right solution for clients. In particular, she will point to the question of client vulnerability, often intrinsically linked with debt, and how it can be considered in the delivery of debt advice. Jane will also offer an objective explanation of the FCA’s requirements regarding regulation and controls for any organisation delivering debt advice to their clients.
The presentation will explain how the true impact and cost of personal debt can be effectively managed whilst explaining the measures EAPs should undertake to ensure we are ‘fit for purpose’ under new regulation.
UK EAPA members should confirm their attendance at the Branch Meeting by emailing email@example.com. A limited number of guest places are available for the speaker session and can be requested by email also.
